Gatorade takes social media seriously with “mission control center “

 As social media gains more and more traction, it’s interesting to see how other marketers are adapting their efforts and using the space. Gatorade created what they’re calling a “Mission Control Center” to track the conversations taking place about their brand, their products, and the athletes they endorse. The technical product seems similar to others in the market, including Fallon’s Overheard, but what’s impressive is how quickly they’re actually taking action in response to what they see. I can imagine we’re going to start to see in increase in tweets about how much people love Gatorade from people hoping to score some free product.
